[ARCHIVED] Welcome to Our New Dover Town Website

Town of Dover

Dear Residents & Visitors,

Welcome to our new Town Website! The Town of Dover has launched a new website platform to enhance communications, transparency and engagement with our community. Our new centralized hub of information supports the latest best practices in technology and efficiency in online communications. We are very excited for you to have a progressive citizen experience with the Town via this new platform and worked hard to get the site launched in an escalated manner to provide important communications we all need right now in today’s climate. We all appreciate that a new site was a long time coming!

Our new website offers tools to stay informed such as our All Town Meetings Calendar that will list all upcoming meetings across Town Boards, Committees & Departments that are subject to Open Meeting Law so you know when and where meetings are taking place in advance. This calendar serves as our "Meeting Posting" area and helps keep our new centralized Agenda Center clean and displaying all town agendas & meeting minutes in one location with time-stamped posting, version history and the ability to have agenda packets together all in one place.

There is also a Community Events calendar that while we are cautiously not posting many events to yet as the country re-opens, we look forward to this being a hub of community activities for us to enjoy as a town together again in the future.

Most importantly, there is a Notify Me area where you can sign up for news alerts delivered right to your inbox or smartphone whenever there is new activity in the area of your choice. SO you can sign up to be notified when the Board of Selectmen agenda is posted, when important Town News is shared to the website or to receive reminders when your taxes are due to the Town. This keeps everyone in the know as soon as information is available and helps us keep a two-way conversation on Town processes and events.

We are very excited to share the new site and encourage you to go through the site and especially, to sign up for notifications in our Notify Me section for Town News updates and other items. Keep in mind we pushed the launch process through quickly so some things are still in progress and there will always be room for more expansion so bear with us as we ALL adjust from our previous site and continue to organize this one. This is a living tool for us all going forward so development and new features will continue to be rolled out so sign up and stay tuned for more!

Thank you to all Town staff and our dedicated Board & Committee members who worked overtime to get this site up and running as quickly as possible through a crisis. We couldn’t have done it without all hands on deck and look forward to more collaboration, development and progress together!

Here’s to a healthy and safe summer.
