The Dover Human Resources (HR) Department directs recruitment and all hiring activities for position openings within the Town with the exception of the School Department. HR:
Provides assistance and advocacy for all employees. In addition it administers all collective bargaining agreements and personnel policies, administers the classification and compensation plan, and works towards ensuring a competent workforce.
Ensures that Dover is an Equal Opportunity Employer and that all applicants are provided equal consideration for employment.
Handles all workers’ compensation and line of injury claims for all Town and School employees.
Oversees and arranges various training throughout all Town departments and assists department heads in a wide variety of personnel matters.
