Licensing

The Board of Selectmen issue the following categories of licenses/permits:

• Liquor Licenses
• One-Day Liquor Licenses
• Common Victualer’s Licenses
• Auto Dealer Licenses
• Second Hand Licenses
• Auctioneer’s Licenses
• Taxi Cab Licenses
• Livery Licenses
• Bingo Permits

To apply for any of these licenses except for a one-day liquor license (see below), please contact the Selectmen’s office at:

Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday-Friday

To apply for a one-day liquor license please download the application. Fill out the application completely and mail with a check for $25.00 payable to “Town of Dover” to:

Please note: Applications should be sent several weeks in advance of the event at which alcohol will be served in order for it to be scheduled for approval at a Board of Selectmen meeting.
