Cable Television Advisor

The Cable Television Advisor is appointed by the Board of Selectmen. The Cable Television Advisor is responsible for monitoring contractual compliance involving all facets of the Town’s 10 and 15 year agreements with Comcast Corporation and Verizon Communications, respectively.

The Cable Television Advisor is the lead negotiator for the Town during license renewal periods and makes his recommendations to the Board of Selectmen, for their ultimate approval.

As with purchasing any service in a competitive environment, it is highly recommended that every Dover subscriber shop for the best package available.  Services offered by both companies are very similar and basically perform equally as well.  Both companies constantly strive to upgrade their systems

Can you watch Dover government events on cable TV?

Board of Selectmen meetings are available for viewing in multiple places.

  1. Watch them on Comcast live on Channel 22. They replay on Channels 8 on Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. They replay on Channel 22 every day. The replay schedule scrolls on the channel when programming is not on.
  2. Watch them on Verizon live on Channel 47. They replay on Channel 45 on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The replay schedule scrolls on Channel 45 when programming is not on.
  3. You can stream them from the Dover Sherborn Cable TV website at They are available as soon as they are edited, usually within a day or so of the meeting.
