It depends on the size of the house.

Can I burn my brush?
Yes, with a permit during burning season. (ends May 1) Call the Police department for a permit
on the morning of the day you wish to burn.

Can I burn my leaves & old building material?
No, only brush can be burned.

Why do we need such large fire trucks?
We must carry the water needed to suppress a fire.

Can we restrict the number of cars coming through town?
No! Dover streets, for the most part, are public ways. We cannot bar people from using them but we can and do require they observe the laws.
